Only generic ads on rewritten URLs

Hi,

I have just set up a specialised blogging site and people are beginning to sign up. The script automatically ads advertisements to the blogs, and is ideal for adsense ads

but . . .

There is a script which rewrites URLs to make them more user-friendly, an excellent idea, but it appears that G can only serve generic ads on re-written URLs.

For example, if the real address of the starting page of a blog is
[myblogsitedomainname.com...]
then this page shows relevant Adsense ads, no problems . . .

but go to the rewritten URL
[myblogsitedomainname.com...] and Google will only serve generic ads

Anyone able to shed any light on this?

My URLs are rewritten and I'm not having problems, so it might not be that.

Could it be that the Adsense bot had already spidered those original pages a few days ago and hasn't spidered the rewritten URLs yet? In that case the rewritten URLs would get non-targeted ads and within some time they will start getting targeted ones.

So I guess you should just give it some time. Google can't even see that the URL is rewritten.

Yes Zygote, I think you are right . . . it's just a matter of time; some of those pages are already coming up with targeted ads, so panic over!
