How do you appriciate if Google sends you a international debit card and deposits your payment monthly on that card, so that you can withdraw your money from ATM's worldwide or spent at a merchant outlet?

This way, Google will be able to discard all officework for sending physical checks etc each month to the publisher saving huge dollars in their processing cost. Because such a debit card is issued only once, of course Google may deduct the processing charge from the publisher account, and later, everything is done electronically.

A pulisher from remotest part of the globe will receive his/her payment immediately Google releases it.

No cost for mailing checks, EFT etc. No worry for lost check, delay in encashment and more more more.

Just give your wise openion, as Google now thinking of new methods of payment, and may consider this option, if we all can convince Google through this board.

I think it's a great idea but only for VISA - not MasterCard. After all, it was your idea.

I'm being sarcastic.

I am the first user of this board with the first question in my mind...to post that I need to choose an username promptly for registration, and that username came to my mind first that is related to the post, so I choose it.

Anyway, we should now focus into the topic.

Understood, but it does sort of make your motives a bit suspect.

An interesting idea, but it was hard to take seriously with your username.

its a good idea, paypal issue a debit card for drawing on money in a paypal account.

... different i know but a similiar concept.

but i think now that direct bank payments (to selected countries) has been implimented there is now little need for it. unfortunate if you are not in one of the countries. but most people are now covered so the pressure is off google i think.

Most international ATMs charge you for drawing on a US bank account, and at times, the charges can be hefty (I've seen up to $10).

Then again, most publishers I imagine would gladly pay $10 to get their check 10 days faster, so who knows.

I've been requesting this for a long time however I doubt whether the US Adsense publishers, therefore US tax payers, would be able to have one...legally.

Am I right?

By all means Google send me one. I've been trying to get a Citibank international charge card for ages with no joy and Google banks with them, surely they could organise something?

Of course, the real thing for Google to do would be to start its own bank/payment system like PayPal. I think the Google name would make it take off like wildfire. Can you see it: Payments by GOOOOOOGLE.

Google would keep publisher payments in THEIR bank until withdrawn, collecting interest.

I think "Payments by Goooogle" is brilliant. I can't see another strong competitor to PayPal anytime soon, but wow... Google COULD do it. I'd sign-up in a heartbeat.

I don't like this idea at all.

Google is not my bank. It's important to me to maintain strict separation between companies that pay me and the banks I use. Banks are required by law to meet a much higher standard of business conduct than Google is.

I also want my earnings to be quickly placed in account where I'm able to earn interest.

I'm not saying I like the idea. I just wonder why Google hasn't done it.

Most banks already have a debit card just have Google deposit it in your checking/debit account. I have used my debit card all over the world including china. Fees were reasonable.
