I just started using adsense a few weeks ago and was on my site (education related) and when I looked over at the ads I saw an ad for a school but the copy underneath the underlined heading said something like this:
"teacher arrested for raping student"
I couldn't believe it when I saw it. When I refreshed the page it didn't come back. Has this sort of thing happened to anyone else?

Couldn't it be one of those newspaper ads?
Right now I cannot remember what paper it is, but I have seen one campaign that seem to be built on current news items.

I don't think so. It had a school name on the underlined top section.

Sounds like someone wanting to extract revenge on the school, perhaps, by publicizing this.

So you are saying someone hacked into the Google database and changed the wording?

No, I guess she's saying someone may be advertising for a hate page.

I doubt very sincerely that someone has hacked Google. I think instead that someone on a vendetta of some kind (wholly legitimate or half-baked) decided to use their Adwords account to "advertise" an uncomfortable truth they wanted to be more well-known.
