Any ideas?
Who do you believe is "condoning" this?
Seriously, though, while granting that you don't mean to condone this type of fraud... Is there any generally accepted definition of fraud you can produce that the conduct at issue does not fit? You seem to be defending the indefensible, which is probably why some people believe you to be condoning the indefensible.
1. I believe he got what he deserved.
2. I do not encourage any publisher to do what he does. And I don't. I have more than one UPS account at stake.
3. Publishers like him damage the program.
The points I've been trying to make are not to defend him but to point out
1. The BIG issue are the "frauds" that Google is NOT catching - from click inflation to organised automated clicking.
2. We should be careful about the words we use. We are ALL fraudsters if we go by Google's definition.
3. Publishers, even errant ones, are on one side and Google is on the other. We should stick together. The big risks are the ones that all of us face.
Guys like this chap do very little relative damage. If you have energy to run a campaign run one against what Google is turning a blind eye to.
the newbie guy who started this thread has not posted for three days and has left behind utter pandemonium, arguing, threats to call at someone's house, politics being dragged into it, blimey its not even one of our adsense account.
These newbie people who on their first post say my account has been terminated must love being executed in public, and even after all of that they still can't understand what they have done wrong, and we as forum members have to endure this at least once a month, someone posts "there is nothing we can do" or "get in touch with the adsense team" and they still carry on posting trying to make us believe they have done nothing wrong...YAWN...
shakes head in disbelief...why oh why do they not understand that they have stolen from an advertiser, there is no other word you can use other than STOLEN THEFT THIEF and any other word from any dictionary you can find what means the same.
It's a pity Brett can't program into the adsense forum the words or phrase "account disabled" or "terminated" so no more dumb ass threads appear for adsense accounts being terminated because the only people with the right answers and to sort out these problems are the google adsense team.
If for some reason I had my adsense account disabled the last place I would be posting and looking for advise is an open forum like this one
It's a pity Brett can't program into the adsense forum the words or phrase "account disabled" or "terminated"
Brett probably won't because he has argued more than once that you should click ads on your own site. And that you should be able to clicks ads on your own site. One example: msg #53 [webmasterworld.com], another example msg #67 [webmasterworld.com].
We started his AdSense account. I helped him to configure all. He was very curriouse about the ads on my web site. I pleased him not to click on the ads.
He did not understand it immedeately.
Why not clicking on the ads?
I explained him "Would You like to be cought stealing a newspaper for 1 EUR, would You risk Yor career for stealing newspapers? This is the same as clicking on ads"
There are 6 billion people
Maybe 600 million use the internet
Maybe 30.000 are AdSense publishers. We are the only people not allowed to click on our own and our friends ads.
After this, he had an enlightment about it.
Most people have no awareness about this new sort of criminality. They have also no awareness about the possibilities to control it.
Just wait until someone gets the bright idea of making an AdSense pyramid scheme based on random people all over the internet clicking on each other's web sites.
That's the kind of thing I'm talking about. They already exist, on a massive scale, and even several tens of thousands of webmasters posting "support our site - click on the ads" notices won't come anywhere close to the amounts each of these networks makes. And Google is doing sweet b*gger all about it. Like with the 302 issue, like with the scrapers in SERPs, like with the Adwords frauds (impression spamming), like with the numerous other issues. Each one is worth a million webmasters saying "click on my ads". Doesn't make those webmasters right but we really are kicking up a lot of fuss about the relatively minuscule problems.
Then for all you "Advertisers" who called me THIEF..I havent taken any payment so far from google.Which means some other "smart theief" has stolen from your pockets.
Now...some one said I asked my members to click on ads and not myself...I DID NOT...I had clicked on the ads too.G knows it too i guess.I cudnt understand the logic which prohibits me from clicking a attractive link.And..I did not click ruthlessy on the mouse...which shows that my intention was not to stealfrom my privileged "Advertisers".
Well im very much concerned bt these advertisers who thinks that they get only genuine clicks and nobody steals from them.Hey frnds u really serious?
Knw wat?
1.Dont u know that admins are sending every member email prompting him to click on the ads?
2.Arent you aware that admins chat to the members on Yahoo or IRC and prompt them the same?
2.Dont you know that they put images on their sites that has text altered into their regional languages asking the members for the same?
well these are things i found out from another forum that tells u tricks to fool google.(i found it 1 day after i posted this topic...damn!)
Bottom line, if you see someone encouraging people to click on ads, report them.
If you have been encouraging people to click on your own ads and get suspended, you didn't read the AdSense terms (or ignored them) and you will need to either sign up with a competitor, or open dialogue with AdSense to get your account re-opened.
