hi dolcevita

127.0.0.1 refers to the localhost (in other words your own machine or server).

it's sometimes called the loopback address.

Thanks for answer and i know it.But how is possible to have clicks from 127.0.0.1?
My site is hosted on server where i pay monthly for using (not on my own PC).
It is ridiculous that they are clicks recorded then from server where site is located!?

127.0.0.1 in the referer may be that the user is clicking from a mirror on his own PC/local server, is using a link checker from his local server, has spoofed the referrer with a utility or his browser (firefox for example), I also heard that phishing also uses that sort of referrals.

But how user can spoofed IP with 127.0.0.1?
127.0.0.1 is not referer but IP that user used to click on adsense.Asrep report IP of user that clicked on adsense.
I've never heard that is possible to spoof IP with 127.0.0.1.
Server must know where the
connection has originated from to be able to communicate.

You must be right, I thought it was 127.0.0.1 in the referrer.

dolcevita

apologies for my previous answer.

i am unfamiliar with the click tracking script you are using, do you have any more info you can post?

<added>
IP Spoofing is usually achieved by pretending to be an IP on the local (target) network or a trusted IP address which AFAICR could be 127.0.0.1

Likeliest answer is that someone used google desktop search (or similar) to bring up a page of yours from browser cache, then clicked an ad.

It seems that my reply regarding adress of script has been deleted.
Script is commercial but it can be used free (without some additional statistic) and provide great way to see your clicks and much more.
Because url is deleted you can easily find script via google searching for word "asrep".
