Hello,

Sorry for this green question, but would it be advisible to add AdSense to subdomains of a domain presently owned by me, or would I be better off just registering new domains?

What are the pros/cons of both?

Yes you can do it so long as you control the content of the sub-domain and not someone else.

I found that adding a new subdomain to an existing well-crawled domain will bring your new subdomain into the SERPs almost instantly. To me that is a HUGE plus!

But I never hesitate to register new domain names. I just forward it to the subdomain.

So, in other words, if you have a main site with a domain name mysite.com and you want to create a site about stock info, and another about travel, the subdomain addresses would be:

stock-info/mysite.com/index.html
travel/mysite.com/index.html

So, this way these two would then get out of the sandbox that much quicker?
