Content - Ad out of whack

I have Adsense on my site. My site's a travel/tourism content site. Throughout my site Adsense offerings neatly match the various different subjects covered by the contents on each page, except one. On my root-homepage Adsense started offering only a domestic product of this destination, though the product, itself, isn't even mentioned on the root-homepage. Is there any reason why this should be the only content-Adsense relationship that seems out of whack, or rather, doesn't seem to match up.

Home pages and, on larger sites, section pages, often don't do well in AdSense. They aren't specific enough, apparently. On some occasions, I've simply left AdSense off front pages -- whether site or section. It creates a little more real estate and encourages click-through to the rest of the site or section.

Ah, yes. That makes sense, though this is the first time that I've noticed Adsense being so off base.
