I see some ads I don't want to appear... but how can I block them if their url is not showing? the only way to find out is to click on the ad (but it's against google policy) please help.

A few ways:

1 - Click the "Ads by Google" and you will see the URL on the feedback page.

2 - Use the AdSense Preview Tool on that page, making sure you have the geotargeting set to the same geolocation you are.

3 - Right click the ad and extract the URL from the URL string.

This is how I do it:

1. Hold the mouse over the adblock and right click, then click on "view source". This will open a notepad window with the source code for the entire adblock.
2. In the notepad window press F3 and search for "adurl=". The real URL will follow immediately after that in the code.
3. Block the URL by only using the "example.com" portion of the real URL. The "www." is not necessary.

duh! I think I was too caught up in thinking that you must click on your own ads to see the url!

Thanks for the quick answers.

In MSIE right click on the URL then select 'copy shortcut' ('properties' does not always show the URL part).
Paste shortcut into address window, but be careful not to click it or hit 'Go'.
Look for "adurl=" portion with "http" preceeding. Delete portion prior to it inclusive.
Look for '&client=ca-pub'
Delete everything past it including it.
THIS is the GENERALLY the FULL path the advertiser has specified.
Sometimes you may have to cut it shorter to see what is ACTUALLY appearing upon a click. Maybe someone else on here can explain why? Usually just specifying the domain name ('xyz.com') will block ALL.
