If I have to sign them, where should I do it?
In AdSense support, they say that they can't give me an advice, as each bank has different rules.
Endorsing a check simply says that you as the account holder know about the check and accept it. If the details on the cheque match your account than normally you don't need to do it.
Still, sign the back of it, it can't do any harm and may speed up the process.
My bank in the UK (NatWest) won't take it unless it is signed on the back.
Same with Barclays and you get a proper receipt for it.
every month I have to wait at least 30 minutes in my bank until they cash my check.
You're cashing your cheque and not paying it into an account? That's not normal for UK banks. Where are you?
What exchange rate are they giving you if you're not taking US Dollars?
There is also another bank, but they take 15 euro in commissions!
That's not expensive at all if you're getting a good exchange rate. Same question as above, exchange rate?
I pay USD 30+ every time I pay it into my Dollar account.
30US$ to deposit a cheque?
That sounds terrible! Haven't you checked other banks?
You are loosing huge amounts of money in comissions.
I know, I have this argument with them every month plus they have the cheek to charge me the privilege for having this account even though it's thousands in credit.
I've been looking for somewhere better and the only thing I can find is offshore Visa/Mastercard debit cards. The only problem with those is that the banks I know insist on so many formalities or minimum deposit levels that it doesn't make it worthwhile or the banks that offer easier cards I don't know at all...loads of those in Switzerland and other places around the world!
I do use Dollars for other business transactions and I get hammered every time however I do know some of the other High Street banks are even more expensive. I've been looking at the HSBC Dollar account which was recommended on another thread which is £70 per annum and £30 for the Euro but they don't do a debit card which would be ideal for me.
I need to resolve this very soon since I have recently modified things on my sites and I shall be well peeved if I'm not in the UPS Club within a very short time.
Which bank do you use?
Nikke
Where I'm at you just cannot find a bank that takes less than 15 Euro.
These guys are ripping us all off, it's absolutely no different to the last 100 years or so, we get stung every time and even this Euro hasn't stopped their charges in the Eurozone area. I despise banks more than anything/anyone else since I have yet to find one which actually wants to help, they all want to rip you to pieces as fast as they possibly can.
