I have one set of pages out of a WHOLE web site Google decided wasn't "family friendly" because of the "N" word, yup, you got it, NUDE. Everything it tasteful and all, and the very topic of the page sure enough brings up ads on Google, but who ever accused them of being family friendly, or friendly at all.

Seems like it would make sense per advertiser, or per CHANNEL at a minimum, to be able to set the level of safety we want for the ads. Maybe AdSenseAdvisor can talk some sense into the mind control police @ Google on this topic as they are missing on a ton of traffic from this one section of my site alone.

Anyway, my question is....

In this instance does anyone see an issue with running an alternative on those pages google won't serve?

Perhaps Kanoodle or some such?

Has anyone done this. mix n match 2 services on your site?

Did google spank you when you did?

Google may err on the side of caution, but such is life. I would suggest that if you disagree with their decision to appeal, stating why.

On the other hand, as long as you don't display another different type of contextual ad on the same page as Adsense, you'll be fine.

This is exactly what many do and Google has no problem with it. It is also a good way to diversify your income away from AdSense.

Are you applying to the program or are did they find your site after you started running the ads? If the former, why not just setup a dummy site, get approved, and take it from there (since once you are approved for one site, you're approved for all of them)?

Been in the AdSense program quite some time actually - they used to run ads on those pages then suddenly decided they didnt qualify and got nothing but PSAs. It's only a small subset of the web site, but a very popular one that generates a bulk of traffic.
