visitors with Teoma toolbar not seeing adsense

It's not the most popular toolbar for IE, but any visitor using the Teoma toolbar with a user agent that includes "TeomaBar" will never see adsense ads.

Test it out by changing your user agent in Firefox or install the IE toolbar here:
[sp.ask.com...]
and watch what happens.

Had me really going crazy for a few minutes trying to figure out why adsense wasn't showing in IE but in other browsers.

How to strike back?

For example I really hate to see in my referer log files

Blocked by Agnitum

So I put in the .htaccess a condition,
if referer with Blocked by Agnitum
redirect to the purchase page of Agnitum

How is it possible to detect the Teoma toolbar
and to throw the visitor to a page
where he becomes informed, that visitors
with Teoma are not wanted?

That's weird. It's definatly on Googles side, if you try to call
"http: //pagead2.googlesyndication.com/pagead/show_ads.js" with your useragent set to TeomaBar, you get a "Forbidden: Your client does not have permission to get URL /pagead/show_ads.js from this server." message.

(It's ok without it).

I wonder what caused that? TeomaBar doesn't display inline advertising, does it?

Teoma bar does not display any kind of advertising.
In fact it's one of the most plain & safe toolbars I have tried.

This is definitely something Google has to fix. I figured this might be the best way to get their attention ;)
