Ok - we have had a laugh at their attempt to sell used Hubble telescopes, and used a Bank of England. A serious point - do we get paid for clicks on those ads?

As they appear on our sites, is it fair to assume they have outbid other advertisers to be there, and will have to pay the going rate to sell non-existent items?

I'd rather see a competitors ad than some of the Ebay stupidity!

Or is it the case that because they are Ebay they steam in and get good placement without paying for it?

ROTFL!

I brought up just this point on Usenet, I recently had eBay adverts trying to sell "new and used born" (on a biography page, nothing to do with shoes) and "new and used ginger seeds" (on a horticultural page)....

From the Adsense stats it would appear that we don not receive any income from these shoddy ebay adverts, and we are in the process of dropping them.

I banned the ebay.com ads then the ebay.co.uk appeared.
I banned those now I get ads on how to make $50k per year on ebay.

It is particularly annoying given the fact the ebay has caused so much damage to selling collectable books anyway.

It's like the fight against the hydra.

One head smashed, two other heads grow,
and You can only cut 200 of them.

After all changes in the last week,
I had my highest ever Saturday result
20% above the second highest Saturday result.

CTR goes up when people find real interesting sites when clicking on ads.

Same at search result ads.
