This is the second day in a row I'm getting page impressions that are 20-30% lower than my server logs. I've been with Adsense over a year now, and have never had this much of a discrepency. I browsed some of the other threads, and noticed EFV had the same issue yesterday. Anyone else experiencing this problem?

Yes, since the middle of last week, impressions are about 30-50% off from page loads (and I track page loads with an external counting service, not the logs). My traffic is worldwide, but 95% from US, Canada, UK, France, Germany, and I am not aware of any pages loading without real ads.

It's amazing, first EPC incredibly low, then it recovers, then this - and just as my site ramps up!

I still like adsense a lot, but gee, this is crazy...

ya i thought i was going crazy and the drop in pageviews was due to changes i made on my site. Doing nearly 2 million pageviews/day and adsense is about 20% off.

I've noticed an uncharacteristic drop overall in impressions for the last two days as well.

Interestingly, I'm noticing that my Adwords account is also producing less traffic than usual.

Since I derive a good amount of my traffic from Adwords, I'm not surprised that my impressions are down for Adsense.

It seems that Google's traffic is down for some reason. Have they maybe lost a major distribution partner?

Just speculation, but it seems uncharacteristic. Hopefully it is just a temporary swing and nothing more. Up until now, traffic had been growing at a steady pace.

I don't think we can draw any conclusions from two days of data, but let's see if things pick up again come Monday.

My traffic from MSN search is way up...perhaps it's related?

I don't think it has anything to do with traffic. My traffic is up overall. Adsense just seems to be recognizing less of it.

I have a few sites where adsense only recognizes as ad impressions less than 10% of the actual traffic.

All attempts to find out why prove futile.

I noticed something the other day about this issue..

I started getting alot of traffic from about.com and when i clicked on the referrer link text in my log I noticed they were framing my page and the google ad was somehow replace by about.com ads.. it was really strange.. I did notice this long ago using AOL search but never paid much attention since then I was not using Adsense..

Anyway, I added code to break out of any frames and stats (and revenue) shot up 20%.

bnhall - I have noticed this also - MSN traffic up G down.

I also noticed yesterday morning when I switched my laptop on I was prompted to upgrade to the new version of MSN messenger. In performing the upgrade the dialogue boxes also try and get you to change your default homepage and search etc to MSN. Dunno how many people will just allow this change and whether it would actually affect anything.
