Reports on impressions and clicks are usually updated every fifteen to thirty minutes. Occasionally there will be a delay of 24 hours or more in the reports you see on the website. Please note, however, that channel report data is delayed 2 days to allow for synchronization of information across all channels.
but my experience is more like updates every 4 to 6 hours
whats yours?
I count my hits with a link to a user counting service, not looking at the website statistics file, so every hit is a full page load.
Every one of my current active pages has one ad unit - and yesterday I had 22,000 page loads and 13,000 page impressions. Now, some traffic is from totally out of the way countries like Mauritania and Vietnam, but 95% is from US, UK, France and Germany (90% from US). I've never seen a page load without a real ad too...
This started when my pageloads went from 5000/day to 20-50k a day. Today traffic is light but it is still not tracking.
I assume always that I'm missing something - not Google... Not sure what though!
thanks,
I have 20,000 hits on pages with ads, and only 11,000 impressions and I am almost 100% sure they all are getting ads.
You are not alone. We closely monitor page requests made to the http server, and these FAR exceed the impressions announced by Google. We are also very concerned that the Google Adsense CTR is significantly lower than we see with non-targeted, graphic adverts.
Matt
What I found is that the day I turned on Channels, my aggregate page impressions became 50-60% of my total page loads (measured by an offsite meter).
I am actually not seeing anything in the channel report - started 3 days ago (ok, I know it could take some time for data to show up there)
Weird, isn't it?
