Feb Downturn Victims: Do you use URL forwarding?

I'm new here, but noticed one funny thing about the recent post-Feb 1st problems. Some people are reporting very strange and drastic reductions in price per click - and last week dips in actual clicks recorded (and thus CTR). I have had this problem too, and it continues today.

My site "took off" last month, to some extent before I was ready. I am using a URL forwarding service with URL gripping to reach it. I am wondering if what is really happening is that in the Feb 1 reload of data at Google, some of the info about where/what/pages are is lost somehow.

Are other people seeing these weird problems also using less than great ways of hitting their site?

I know I need to fix this and my overall hosting situation, but could this be the cause of the problem?

Thanks much,

bull

Let me ask this a different way:

Let's say my site is: myurl.com

And it sits at myhostingaccount.net

If you connect to myhostingaccount.net/myurl/index.htm (for example) and then start looking around the site, the myhostingaccount.net domain is prefaced to every page.

When a user clicks, could Google be losing this, or something, if it's bot crawled the site with the myurl.com name.

Agaim, I am sure I am doing something stupid...
