Well, this November was better than last November. It’s been about 5 years since I could say that about any month.

November could have been okay, if , during the first week, my stats hadn't shown a flat 0 for no reason, then resumed to normal, without reason either.

December is starting off MUCH better than December of 2023 as far as Adsense revenue; even though my traffic is less than last year. Please keep it up Adsense.

Slow and low for me. Here's hoping it picks up by the end of the week.

RPM is low as it was in late November. Traffic slightly up (+10%) because of Bing Search.

The lack of posts in this thread tells us the whole story, damn, how things change.

Don t what some or you have earned las year to pretend you have the same level now
Others used to make high 3 digit per day which os over now
Prefer to focus on my real job where I make far more fortunately in comparison to adsense today
Deleting all domains that don t make 1 usd /week

I used to easily and I mean easily make a minimum of 200-400 usd a day for years, now I don't even make half that, not even close, I have had to delete more than half of my domains because they are not bringing anything anymore. A shame indeed. But we move on.

I am still hoping that with the change of CPC to CPM, it will start to 'balance' out starting in 2025 but I am not holding my breath. There is still that issue where the traffic is also gone, smh.

Fortunately, I am still up about 20% over last year, since the US presidential election, but it’s still low compared to my heyday when I was making 3 times what I am making now. Still, I am just glad things are going up when it’s been going down for 7 years. I am still barely able to support myself without a real job.

@gatomark
Nice to hear this
All depending on the expectation of income at the end
Adsense has been fantastic in the past but always been considered as Plan C for me

Do you see sudden rise of offerwall impressions last three days?

@Sissi

I have been living off Adsense for 12 years now. Since COVID it’s been a struggle and I’ve had to dip into savings. I’m still on the edge.

Yesterday was the best Adsense day since March of 2022.

I reached the end of the road with AdSense in the last 60-days where it was no longer worth the effort. Making money is one thing, but when it eventually, barely covered costs of maintenance, hosting and new content production it was time to let it go.
As it was a seasonal site it always dipped in the October to Feb/March time, and that's fine, but it never really picked up much earlier this year.
It ranked reasonably well in the SERPs, but there were fewer clicks, and for less $. Now, it's taken a nosedive in the SERPs.

Google AdSense March 2003 until October 2024 - that's not a bad run!

@engine

I am sorry to hear that. I have about eight websites. One I just shut down. I have another four that I will probably shut down as soon as the SSL cert expires. I will most likely keep only the three that are still making acceptable money.

That’s probably best anyway, so I can focus on the profitable sites

@gatormark
Thanks, yes, it was the last property running AdSense.

I may keep it running without AdSense to see how it fares, especially as it is informational, and I know it's better than other similar sites. In fact, a scraper took the text from the main page which probably didn't help. The scraper is now #1 and mine down to #10, which is nowhere these days.

I still believe there are opportunities for AdSense on the correct site.

Keep at it, AdSensers, as the earnings are still there, even if they have declined from the heady, early days.

The cost per click model allowed me to keep the smaller websites active because they were niche sites and the CPC was high. Now that Adsense has gone to the CPM model, those websites are dead because they never had a lot of traffic. My website that gets a decent amount of traffic, around 40,000 Adsense page views a day, still does well.

I have had 3 days relaxing forgetting about Adsense and doing other things, like some suggested here working for Mc Donald is bringing more money.
Like elsewhere machines a replacing humans.
Still don t understand why one of my webpages with 2 lines ranks first in Google for major keywords

I've recently been experimenting with different ad placements to improve performance, especially on mobile. It’s fascinating how small tweaks, like adjusting where ads appear above or below the fold, can significantly impact RPM. Have any of you noticed changes in earnings based on ad frequency settings? I’ve been keeping mine moderate to avoid overwhelming users, but I’m curious if pushing it slightly higher has worked for others. Also, the new focus on page experience metrics seems to play a bigger role in AdSense lately—what strategies have you found to improve these?

In my opinion, experimenting with ad positions is a huge waste of time. Publishers can test anything, but if there is no traffic, there will be no profit.

For a long time now, I have focused exclusively on generating traffic to my websites. It doesn't matter what the format or position of the ads is, as long as there is traffic.

Agreed. I've run just about every placement and ad size experiment but nothing will bring back the $$$ like bringing back the traffic.

High traffic days/spikes for me prove this.

Things started slowing for me about mid-month; might be my lowest earning month of the entire year. Schools are being let out across the States now too for the Xmas break.

While there is hope for the new year in January, I have little hope for the new year in January : /

I have: "Allow collapsible anchor ads" unchecked/disabled, but they are still showing on my site for mobile users, anyone else experiencing this?

@allhearts Yes, and screwing up PageSpeed Insights "Cumulative Layout Shift (CLS)", and GSC "URLs need improvement" metrics. I added the data-overlays="bottom" to the code yesterday and will see if it changes anything - or else bye bye anchor ads unfortunately as they pay well..

<script async src="https://pagead2.googlesyndication.com/pagead/js/adsbygoogle.js?client=ca-pub-xxxxxxxxxxxxx" data-overlays="bottom" crossorigin="anonymous"></script>

I'm already experiencing a similar issue with collapsible anchor ads. I've opened a new thread about it here :

@No5needinput @dolcevita

I have been using that code to show the anchor ad at the bottom since I enabled anchor ads, but still having an issue with collapsible anchor ads showing on mobile.
