The interstitial ad (aka, "vignette") always had a good CPM for me, but it's dropped quite a bit as of late to almost half of what it was :-(

After discovering Infolinks to replace the anchor ad that had similarly dropped off, I'm curious if anyone has found a company that offers a higher paying interstitial / vignette? I emailed media.net but haven't had a reply yet.

I used media.net when they were new, in fact, they invited me. At first , it was doing very well, and it was easy to contact them, and answers were fast and precise. Then after a 2 years, radio silent. No more answers, on more contact. (may be this was after it was sold).

I recall there was some interest in InfoLinks a few years ago. It seems it works well for some sites, but not all: [webmasterworld.com...]

@Peter_S, I signed up with media.net way back in 2013, too, and had the same experience! I was hoping for an alternative to Adsense at the time, but they were paying pennies on the dollar. I recently stumbled across them in an article suggesting that they paid well for interstitial, but my old login credentials wouldn't work. I've emailed them 3 times since June with no reply, which is pretty disappointing :-/

@not2easy, I remember signing up for Infolinks way back then, too, for the text ads. They weren't great, I think I made around $20 /month with them. Users complained, though, and it wasn't profitable enough to justify keeping.

Like in the other thread you cited, I've gotten emails every quarter promising blah blah blah, and always ignored them. But with Adsense being sooooo low, I figured why not give it a shot? The anchor ad was only making about $5 /day (it used to make $30+ with less traffic), so I wasn't really taking a huge risk.

I set it all up on August 8, just using the anchor ad. Today is August 14, and so far it's made over $40 /day! The real range is $40.78 to $45.79. I don't know how long that will last, but I'm pretty stoked. It feels like the good old days :-)

One or two years ago, Media.net closed all inactive publisher accounts, and accounts making less than a given threshold. Get mine closed.

Media.net is part of Adsense's third party ad networks, and so serving ads through Adsense too.

Oh. Well, that's disappointing :-(

I just looked, and my interstitial CPM is almost 1/3 of what it was just a month ago! I've gone through several options that use Adsense and they're all about the same, I was hoping for something outside of the Adsense box.

Maybe I'll roll my own, and stick a bunch of 300x250 banners in a homemade interstitial...

I use Exponential on certain pages, but you need a LOT of traffic to qualify to use them.
