AdSense Earnings and Observations - July 2023

Month is starting out very bad, so far it's the lowest earning day since I started with adsense, many moons ago.

Next week is typically the worst week of the year for me. Let’s see what happens Monday through Sunday of next week.

The end of June was literally a sneak peek of the terrible July we were about to endure.

The last decent day I’ve had in revenue was June 28th. It’s been downhill since then.

I think the only explanation is that it’s summer and they’re not spending much during the summer and waiting for the fall/winter?

The last week of June was not only the end of a month; it was the end of a quarter (when advertising budgets are depleted) and it was heading into a major holiday week in the U.S. with lots of people traveling. Next week should be better. We'll see.

I’m getting little clicks and even still they’re taking some of the clicks back lol.

Also seriously down here in the earnings department. I supply millions of impressions per month. Makes me feel better when I read this thread. LOL.

I've invested big in web sites where the main income is Adsense. I always new that I should not take Adsense too seriously. I should have given more attention to other income streams over the years... but when things are going well, the income from Adsense is as sweet as honey! (like a drug!)

Maybe things will turn around, like the stock market in the US always does. Perhaps just a question of time.

I cannot see ads going away any time soon. Adsense may be a different story. They will need to get their act together. Those auto ads are turning the Internet into a spam fest! Perhaps just my old school take on things.

Worst 2 days of the year for me. RPM is half if what has been on average for the same period.

I went into my GA4 today and did some editing (I really don’t know what I was doing) but after I did that, I noticed a surge in my clicks today.

-40% less revenue compared to last year, the traffic is the same
The end of June was decent for me as well, but it went down starting from July.

In the last couple of days the RPM is starting to pick up for me, let's cross our fingers to keep up

Remember, don't follow instructions by Google in order to grow revenue. After implemented down over 50%.

@LucasPerez If you see notifications about opportunity to grow your revenue, let's ignore them. Based on my 6 years Google Adsense experience from last year all advices are only work for Google, not for publisher. For example, Google told you that the one of good opportunity for you is change your ad from fixed size to auto. After that you can be sure that your revenue drop about 10-15%. Of course, if you want to lost your revenue, your choice.

Curious anyone that is paying for traffic to AdSense sites? I am doing for some clients as i've always but recently started serving some AdSense (Auto Ads), significant bump in earnings per 1,000. It's paid Facebook targeted traffic (spend around $1000 a month for ~40,000 uniques and ~82,000 page views. Niche is restaurant.

I can say the $1000k spend a month is offsetting earnings by 3:1 too...

For some nice reason my traffic almost doubled, but there are no ads, so the eCPM is now very low.
The majority of my traffic is US/UK.

I only advertise using Google Ads. It's not much, just a few hundred dollars a month.
