I wish you a new, fresh start, much better than all previous years. Let's see how it goes in January.

Is something wrong with adsense balance? Mine is showing $-0.2 which doesn’t make any sense since i’ve made access of 1000.

Has the finalized earnings been updated correctly? Mine says -0.2 which is absurd. Is it a glitch or what?

I cannot believe we are not even 24 hours into the new year and this is already a discussion.

Adsense totally tanked. It's more than 50 - 70 percent down than last year.
I am seeing same ads appearing, good ctr but very little earning.

Today is new low record, with eCPM -50% than December! 2023 = carnage

Happy New Year. 2022 results dragging so far into 2023.
CPC: 0.18
Maintaining worst performance in my adsense sites (have increased traffic over 3 years). Seems almost negligible for a web publisher these days. No motivation to spin content in this environment. Although, my Amazon Affiliate links have picked up substantially. go figure.

December 2022 was pretty good, earnings up 2.5% compared to December 2021, with 5% fewer pageviews.
As for January, early signs of an upward trend, yesterday was great with an RPM like early December.

Can senior members here also comment on their amount of daily or weekly traffic in addition to earnings? This gives a much better perspective to ad inventory health across the network I think. I'm getting on average daily 20k hits across my properties. Additioanlly, I am noticing a lot more clawbacks than ever in many years. Maybe its due to me looking more often and just seeing..
I wish clawbacks could be tracked in our portal

An abysmal 2022. CPC’s dropping, CTR poor. Earnings ways down. I’m demoralised to the point of I’m going to get a job that pays regular money and do this as a part time gig.
Jan has spluttered into half life with poor CPC’s
If businesses are being squeezed and or, are going under or don’t have the budgets they once had etc then ultimately inventory gets squeezed and so more pubs are chasing an every decreasing pool of availability. Serving pages with css collapsed Google ad spots doesn’t make the heart sing either.
Add to that the idea that Google is constantly shrinking serp real estate in favour of its own stuff and I conclude that it doesn’t end well for most of us.
Sure yeah, there’s still opportunity for those who can be bothered or are naive and to those people; good luck, but it isn’t what it was and server costs aren’t getting any cheaper either. How many of you have created great sites, only to see them languish mid division or get impacted by some movement of the goalposts somewhere?

It is abysmal, that's for sure. Worst RPM in 20 years of doing this.

No comment on traffic fellas?
No exact figures but weekly pageviews in the 100-200K range, RPMs in the $10-30 range.
But the ecosystem is so large and complex you're not going to (accurately) gauge the "ad inventory health across the network". Too many variables and not enough data.

Traffic for me almost same around 100k per day but CPC and RPM awfully low….

Thanks for sharing. Your RPM seems very healthy. My last 7 days RPM $4.5 range, 80k pageviews. And this is up previous last 7 days
Just to add that CPC which was between 20-23 dropped to 15-18 in the last 3 months. CTR increased slightly, but not enough to compensate for the drop in RPM and CPC.
I seem to come here when things are bad - my site is really struggling for Adsense in January 2023. Not looking good compared to January 2022.

It's comforting to know we're all in same boat. Thanks for sharing without revealing too much. I hope we start to slowly improve from here...sounds like a lot of us rely on AdSense income to either make a living or for supplemental income. Stay the course!
