I can see that a lot of websites are now using auto-refresh ads. Everyone seems so desperate they are even risking losing their Adsense account.

So, that means that you had a decent Christmas season? Normally my revenues double from August to December. Last year they stayed the same.

Yeah,from 1st Dec until 23 Dec I had the best revenue ever and 1 million + views than usual but then after that it went downhill..

Then you are apparently one of the very few who had a good christmas season. Be glad that at least 2022 was still good for you.

I guess .. revenue is still not that bad because I am averaging around 110k views per day but looking same time last month revenue is down by 55%

That’s not unusual from December to January. But more important is always the trend of CPC (Cost-per-Click). That key figure is independent of the number of views.

After Meta, Twitter and Microsoft, now Google laying off:

It seems that today I have a new low in earnings!
I know it can go even lower!

My AMP RPM also dropped a little bit, more like 10% - I also noticed AMP page rankings started to drop a little bit since 2 days ago.

Same here. My main website's traffic hit its all time high yesterday with astronomical hosing costs, yet the Adsense earnings are just negligible. I strongly recommend those who are thinking about starting an Adsense website in 2023 to go work in McDonald's instead. Your time will be much better invested.

The new numbers are so low, that is "almost funny, in a tragic way".

In the last few days the traffic is also lower.

After 18 years with Adsense it looks that even ‚premium‘ publishers will see a 2 digit amount for their Februar revenues.

Something is wrong here, even if I have seen a strong recovery until mid-january (+60%) against December.

This is not linked to recession or whatever.

In order to have such a dramatic impact on a huge system like Google Ads, a lot of advertisers must cut their budget to 0 or most of the biggest players.
Is like no advertising until we see how 2023 will shape.

I see huge swings in payment from day to day.

@Sissi but at least you can control your bid types, only accept highest paying ads I understand. I would die for AdSense premium, although I can imagine I'm not far from it with traffic and earnings.

Worst January in last 6 years. 2022 was worst year in 6 years. Earnings were almost 60% down.

50% less revenue from youtube compared to December, the traffic has increased a bit.

+2% revenue doesn't mean that Adsense doesn't perform poorly for you. Did your traffic increase a lot since last year?
