The new month started with an unusually low CPC at the moment. I hope that this is the case at the moment and that this month will be better and more stable than the last.

So far terrible. No change in traffic. End of October was bad too, carying over so far. CPC has been lowest in some time

For perspective, I very rarely wake up and see single-digit earnings. This seems to becoming a trend for me now

Something strabge happens today (1.11.2022), throughout of the day rpm is sliding down, maybe some problems at google datacenters, and rpm is not refreshed properly I hope, very low.

RPMs have been pretty stable this past year: [i.imgur.com...] Daily swings are to be expected but fall mostly within the normal range.
Quite surprised at the stability actually, there's usually a bit of a dent over the summer. So I'm expecting good things for November and December based on last year's numbers, even if traffic is a tad lower.

Low traffic from google updates and now record low eCPM. From what I see, today will be the smallest revenue this year (until now).

I expected November to start better then October, but so far it's been very disappointing, traffic, RPM and CTR much lower.

It's disappointing. This is supposed to be highest paying quarter always for me, and it's the worst in my 8 years of AdSense. I expect start of next year to be pennies. Oh well...I know things will get better.

Another thing to add to it, when ever we set the clocks back or forward in the Eastern Time Zone (where most of my traffic comes from), it's always a bad few days after that, and today is reflecting that as well.

Well, November is -30% in revenue, the traffic is bad and the payment sux (eCPM). I see no ads for BF, only junk, so the global economy is preparing for worse.

Same here, worst November in many years (since I started with Adsense), 57% down from last year so far.

Sure. The European Union will be in recession, Weather disasters will strike again more hard, the Energy crisis will be a lot worse and spread, all this making inflation to skyrock like never... hopefully a conflict with China will wait a bit, and COVID will remain, but fade in severity. Happy new year!

Even lower traffic from google updates (Helpful update.. urghh) and record low eCPM compared to last year November. If things continue the way its going now it's going to be 65% drop in revenue compared to last year's November.
I believe the huge drop in revenue is due to economic times. Now why did I put so much time into Adsense web sites and not something that would actually pay the bills much easier. LOL!?! :) :) :)
Here's my take on why things are really bad on my Adsense web sites as of March this year:
Lower traffic from Google is due to their updates and in particular the helpful update of late. It seems to result in lesser well know sites receiving less love from Google and larger sites (leaders of industry) receiving even more traffic. Personally I get sick of getting the same search results over and over with high authority sites always listing at the top instead of actually giving me accurate search results to what I'm looking for. Maybe its just me..
Regarding the helpful update: In the beginning reading an article to what you were looking for was cool but it got old very quickly and now I just skip that because I'm always in a hurry (have lots of life to live and too little time) - it is just easier go directly to what I'm looking for straight away in most situations. Again, maybe just me and I'm biased. haha..

Hello all, I'm new to this forum but I'm also feeling the sting of the coming recession. My page RPM is half of what it was last year and even lower than last month. My website is in the UK market. Nov RPMs used to make me some juicy revenue every year, seems like it's gonna be noodles all year going forward.

I find (for myself) year-over-year comparisons aren't very helpful due to the always-changing nature of online spending / advertising plus a growth in competition globally for certain topics (especially from cheap, Made-For-Adsense sites) and ongoing changes to the Adsense program itself. For me, the comparison of month-to-month / week-to-week is better as the stuff I have is seasonal and topical, seeing spikes and dips at varying intervals.
I think adverts are reigning in spending to see how the chips fall - some are already using all of November for "Black Friday" deals. Might see a bump closer to Thanksgiving here in the states but, if that does not transpire, the purse strings have truly tightened and 2023 is going to be in the dumps for much of the year. The recent midterm elections could have helped some if the outcome was different - but now knowing who will remain in power means customers / advertisers pretty much know that it will be the "status quo" going forward. I think the markets would have appreciated a change after two years.

I'm a web publisher. I think Google is desperately trying to save www pub's as earnings for continue to fall and cookie consents strengthen, not to mention browser ad blockers - it's a very dark road ahead for us. YouTube publishers may not be suffering as much (very little control over their ads vs web publishers).

Whew, highest RPM of the year (and last 3 years) yesterday, up 20%. Ramping up towards Black Friday and Cyber Monday.
And an early payment, already MIB, didn't even get the e-mail yet.

Have you received monthly payment email? I did not - also the adsense account still showing the balance (to be paid) and last payment of previous month only. Is it just me or others are seeing the delay?

Not the e-mail, no, and the balance is still shown, but the payment arrived. Unusual, but welcome! It's early still so if you haven't gotten your payment yet it will probably arrive (or at least be initiated) in the next few days.
