Ad Placement?

I was wondering if Google allows the placement of ads between paragraphs in an article?

For example:

Article content, Article content, Article content,
Article content, Article content, Article content.

--GOOGLE ADS--

Article content, Article content, Article content.

I checked Google's policy page, but couldn't find anything in referrence to this.

I tried a new layout today. I wonder if it is allowed. Does it effect the TOS?

In the top fold, ( main visible area ) I took a table
W=600, with two 2 cols . Simply places two med rectangles in it. This helped me display 8 ads in one large looking rectangle area in top fold.

Any issues with this? any suggestion?

One issue is that visitors to your site may not be too happy about being presented with a page that is all ad, or at least appears to be....
