Today I received a new notification for Labs as a possibility

"Read Aloud player
This text-to-speech lab enables your users to listen to the content on your site. Before the audio starts they’ll see a display ad, so you’ll earn while they interact with your web pages in a new way.

This lab only applies to a small percentage of your traffic."

Hmmm... this is g adsense text-to-speech? Intent is to by pass ordinary text-to-speech some browsers and most OS platforms provide?

Seems like it. I'm trialing it on one account to see if it does anything revenue-wise.
