Happy new year
January started 70 %more than Jan 21. This is not due to Adsense but focussed SEO niches and again hard work in terms of content. In my view the changes occuring and impacting the revenues are less related to Adsense itself but to the quality a publisher offers. I m just realising what BS content I have produced some years ago!

January here is doing very well but everything is upside down. For the last 15 or so years, January brings high pageviews and low RPM. This year it is the opposite. No idea why. Must be the pandemic.

Starting from last week in December up-till now: -80%, I think that I get some kind of penalty because I have same traffic, and page-views, but a decrease in click and impressions.
I just stopped my Facebook page today. a friend told me that maybe the 12% of traffic I have been getting from Facebook is the reason for this decrease in impressions and clicks.

Although I'm up 25% over last year's earnings, it looks like ad spending is drying up some. Ad quality is not the same. My clicks are way down from last year even though page views and earnings are up.

My income has bombed out hard this month. Only been with Adsense for 7 to 8 months almost, and this is the first time I've gone backward, very backward, LOL.
Oh well, it was expected. With this downtime, giving Google Ad Exchange a tryout, been getting contacted by a few ad companies about it, see what occurs.

December: AdSense implemented again after certainly ten years.
January so far: -20% CPC, but +25% revenue (optimizations through A/B tests and more visitors).
I am satisfied and looking forward to the better months.

While the downturn occurring went to Google ADX Open Bidding after being contacted so much by it from third parties, I must admit it is doing very well, not sure If I will switch to Adsense again now, maybe run a few ads I will see how this plays out.

@allhearts, I am up 15% over last January. However, that percentage seems to be decreasing as OMICRON increases. We are having a lot of supply chain problems in the USA. I hope this isn't a repeat of 2020.
