Adsense problems

can't display ads

We have encountered a problem with adsense ads on one of our sites.

We can't get anything other than PSA ads to appear on our interior pages, which are all protected by a login. Obviously this is because Google can't crawl our protected pages. But I have seen other sites with adsense ads on interior, login protected pages.

Apparently, we nead to allow their crawlers access to our site. Would that be through .htaccess? What about robots.txt?

Some sites show themed ads on pages the spider cannot reach. AdSense has said in the past they do not want to index password protected pages.

It might just take some time before themed ads begin showing.
