Apologies for double post (can't seem to edit original). Today is so bad it is looking like my worst day of 2021.

Today’s CPC is starting off very low. That’s for sure. Let’s see how things look by 1:00 PM EST, New York time.

My niche relies on students and I can already tell that schools and universities are starting to end their school year.

My dead zone is June - August.

adsenseuser, it's not only poor...it's downright pathetic.

Horrible here, literally tens of thousands impressions and not even $3.50 for Adsense. Website is in a financial niche in western Europe.

There are moments I'm thinking of cleaning up everything from advertising networks and start slowly with adding ads again but I'm afraid it's all bad if I read most comments here and at other boards.

Yeah everyone says earnings are bad. I see Google crawling pages that are lost before 5 years.

They removed the "go to old report" option on me. I'm stuck using the crappy new reports. Arghh!

I feel sorry for all the visitors at my website, with a CTR today of 0.03% they must be blind :-(

The new reports are awful and aren't getting better. I think Google let an intern design them. And with the Apple iOS14.5 update a few weeks ago, my Adsense app no longer works. It was so clean and showed exactly what I wanted.

It’s funny that everyone is talking about the new reports. I was a user interface engineer for many years and when they were testing the new reports I wrote Google about the poor user interface design. Of course, I never heard back from them. The problem is, sometimes people change things for the sake of change, even if it is working well, to justify their employment.

How do you check your minute-by-minute earnings on the new Google AdSense Report?

Yep - you cant have 140,000 employees all standing around the watercooler. Eventually someone has to show the higher-ups why they earn the big bucks.

Just reflecting on how bad last year was. I am already at 120% of last May's Adsense revenue; earning well over double what I earned at the heart of the COVID crisis last year. So, my complaints are minimal this year.

Hey -- I havent used adsense a whole lot over the past year but am running some experiments on our site.
Today's stats so far:

195k page views, 228k impressions
RPM $0.63, 501 clicks, 0.24 CPC, 0.26 CTR, $122

Vertical is entertainment/education, and we have always been at the lower end of the CPM range because of the large scope of our subject matter, but still... is this right? Or am I likely doing something wrong? Is there some ad unit nowadays that scores the lion-share of revenue?

Is this as horrifically bad as it seems to me? Or is this the new sort of normal with adsense?

I'm using a mix of leaderboards (responsive up to the huge ones) and responsive rectangles for the mostpart.

@westcoast
What constitutes normal is very much dependent on niche, geolocation of target audience, and source of traffic (eg: search or SM). But the RPM does seem low. Also, if you just put code back on your website, you may need to give it some time.

First 10 days of the month were so great, but after 12th April it goes down by half, then after a hard week it's seems to be going up again, but only by 80% of the first 10 days of the month.

CPC was 0.150 to 0.200, now is 0.070 to 0.120

Edit:
Jubna.com doing well, I think Jubna is somehow related basically to how many pageviews you have. Every time pageviews raise I got more dollars on Jubna. whereas Google Adsense is not the case: I got now more pageviews and even more clicks but the revenue is low.

I don't think there was a way to do that in the old reports, unless I missed something, and I don't think you can do it in the new reports unless you log in and out every minute.

westcoast, it looks like you have on average a little more than one ad block per page. If page content can support it, adding a second ad block might increase CTR.

There was a way to do it. I used to click on Reports, then Product, then the current date, plus hosted adsense for content and there was also a blue button i clicked on the bottom and all i would have to do is refresh the page and it would show minute-by-minute earnings, updated instantly. They took that away in the new report and it is quite upsetting because now we don't know how much they are taking from us for their own pocket. Plus YT released a new toS saying that their earnings are now royalty so that will be taxed some more... I have been with AdSense since 2011. I am glad I started leeway off heavily depending on adsense since 2017 since the adpocalypse..

Hello,

I observe the exact same as last month. A first half of May, terrible, and a second half sky rocking , ending in a "good" month.

That's probably why they took it away in the new reports ;)

Why do you keep working with them if you are sure they're stealing from you? I wouldn't keep working with someone I thought was a thief.

I run a business that relies on me posting on a platform that requires them, so its almost like i locked myself in. it earns passively for the most part and since i joined them years ago i secured the most %.

Also, they are really behind in sending the monthly check. Still nothing!

it is quite upsetting because now we don't know how much they are taking from us for their own pocket.

Nobody is taking anything from you. Take note that the "earnings figure" reported in the AdSense dashboard is "Estimated Earnings", which means it is subject to change at any time for any reason. Invalid clicks are "invalid" they do not count never have and never will and there is no way to suggest that they should.

If a bot is clicking on your ads, that's not valid.
If a user starts clicking on the same ad 20000 times that's not valid
if you by mistake click on your own ad that's not valid
if for what ever reason the clicks are invalid, then that is it, it is not your money never was and never will be. Accept, make peace with. There is nothing wrong with this, at has always been the case. Could AdSense be more transparent as to the source of the invalid clicks and provide more support in stopping invalid clicks? Yes definitely. But that is not the same as suggesting that somehow you are entitled to money that you didn't earn.

But more important than the fact that the money was never yours is that in the event of frequent and high value of invalid clicks, it is solely your responsibility to stop these clicks from taking place, that is blocking bots, fixing your layout, blocking malicious users, not clicking on your own ads, what ever. You need to deal with the problem.

since I joined them years ago i secured the most %.

The payout hasn't changed, it remains 68% for everyone.

Also, they are really behind in sending the monthly check. Still nothing!

Are we talking about AdSense? In all the years I have been with them they have never been late. Not once. Is it possible there is an issue with your payment method? Have you been receiving payments by Western Union? AdSense no longer pays via Western Union since about a year. Have you reached your earnings threshold?

AdSense has many faults, but none of the issue you raised is a fault. In terms of trustworthiness, pay out ratio, and timeliness of payment, there is no better than Adsense, possibly equal but not better, and there are certainly far worse networks out there, far far worse.
