I suspected that payments would roll out on Friday, the 20th as they have in the past if the 21st falls on a weekend. It didn't happen. I'm guessing they won't begin until Monday, 11/23.

Nearly at the end of November and I have to say that it's one of the best months for a long while, generally getting back to 2017 levels. Certainly the best month of 2020. Long may it last :)

^ same for me here as well.

Also, my Google Analytics + AdSense stats has not shown any high CTR invalid activity that was present daily over the past year. I believe Google updated their invalid activity filters a couple weeks ago, so here's hoping this means the clawback percent tomorrow will not be as painful.

Hello,

I've been reporting it since some months, ... my Adsense earnings are surprisingly high, not as much as in the old good times, but a lot more than the previous years (month to month). And I said here : [webmasterworld.com...] it's like if some kind of penalty / glitch has been fixed, or I don't know, this is all of a sudden, and without apparent reasons. My traffic did increase too over the same period, so may be higher quality traffic.

So, now, I no longer dare to update my sites, worrying to break something :)

@JorgeV
I doubt it is some "penalty" that has been lifted. It is the market as a whole, that is up. This is prime time for Adsense, it always has been, Black Friday being the biggest day. Now add the pandemic to the mix, globally x-mas shoppers are discourage from going to the stores, so this means, if companies want to reach their potential customers online advertising is the way to go.

I've seen my RPM climb steadily since July. This month will likely be my best month of the year and one of my best months ever, which isn't surprising but I was earning similar revenue earlier in the year (pre-May update) but I was doing it with double the traffic. I'm not looking forward to January, with a vaccine coming and the big spending in November (also likely December), I'm expecting a big drop in January. We will have to wait and see, and it's not like there is much one can do about it anyways.

November is going to be the best month of my AdSense journey if clawback is normal.

My best Adsense month since December 2018. I hope the clawback is minimal tomorrow. Waiting...

Wait, can this be true? Only a 2% clawback for November. I've never had a clawback that low as long as I can remember. Nice!

19% clawback here. New option - a small piece of javascript inserting method from Cloudflare for recognizing bots seems to work well in addition to already known bots fighting method.from CF
The last 3 months clawback was between 29% - 31%.
It is good but still can be better.

9% clawback here which is a far cry from the normal 30% month after month.

@dolcevita - where did you find that JS?

@azlinda - It is CloudFlare with 2 options fighting Bots:
1) Bot Fight Mode
Challenge and/or block requests matching patterns of known bots before they can access your site.

2) JavaScript Detections
Use lightweight, invisible JavaScript detections to improve Bot Management products.
[What does this feature do?
If you have enabled JavaScript Detections, Cloudflare will inject a small amount of invisible code into client devices. This code is run asynchronously and does not collect personally-identifiable information. Cloudflare will fingerprint the client device (determining browser type, GPU, and more) to determine whether or not the client is making automated requests. This improves the efficacy of Bot Management and Bot Fight Mode.

What traffic is affected?
JavaScript is only injected in response to requests for HTML pages or page views, excluding AJAX calls. API & mobile traffic is unaffected. Once code is injected, it is not injected again until its 30-minute session life expires.]

The Cloudflare Bot Fight Mode is good for blocking Bots that pretend to be something else - fake Googlebot, Bingbot, etc. Cloudflare uses known, public IP addresses from the "good bots" and if a bot comes with something different but still announcing "Googlebot" in the user agent string then Cloudflare will present a challenge or block it.

The Javascript detections is actually a fingerprinting platform but it doesn't directly benefit publishers that are not in the Enterprise Plan, as Bot Management is not (currently) an option for smaller users (Free, Pro and Business). It does benefit the web in general but not your property in particular.

I've implemented a combination of reCAPTCHA v3 and behind the scenes tracking so that if anyone with a score of 0.4 or less shows up on my site I just don't show ads on that page request.

If have also looked at my logs and implemented a Bot blocking firewall rule on Cloudflare - currently blocking about 60k - 65k pageviews a day on "bad behaviour crawler bots", while allowing another 100k to "good bots". I don't this this impacted revenue for me, but definitely release resources (CPU, bandwidth) to serving actual humans.
