Hello-

As for the new rules, I'll just keep the one which says that, if a page of a site is "accidentally" flagged as containing sexually content, at least the site and account will not be blocked / banned, and the only risk is that this page displays less ads. I mention this because, like a lot of you, I had , in the past "warnings" for hosting sexually explicit material (photos) , which were absolutely not related to sexuality, or not even nudity. So, this is one less "risk" , also, for those who are really providing adult oriented content, it might be a new way to monetize their pages, since they'll be able to display adsense ads now, and for advertisers, new opportunities, for those targeting this kind of niche.

Now, as for adsense today, the month starts badly, first time ever. It's still early in the day, and first of the month, first of the new quarter, but still. The coverage is killing me. 15% ! And with the fact it's no longer possible to use backup ads, it makes plenty of nearly empty spots all over my sites...

I manage a couple of accoutns. One started the month really well and the other all the opposite.
Always happens like that. When the one is up, the other is not.

Yeah 1st day of October is terrible for me. Shame as September picked up a bit but was still down 16% on August.

Keep in mind that Google doesn't charge the advertisers for invalid / fraudulent clics.

Or they claim to do so.

2% clawback for September. September was my 2nd best earning month in my 8 years in the program. I do see, however, a lot of fluctuations and imo corrections. Very good days followed by a signifucant drop.
At the end of the month my traffic was less compared to other years, but with high RPM.

Im working hard on content and worry less about SEO, and I hope that Adsense will continue being a nice extra for me.

I think most advertisers will sooner or later realize that search ads are misleading and will begin to prioritize display ads.

I'm not sure what to do with G and their products. When I want to use their product support forums I mostly can't post my question because of an error. So when I can't even ask help from so called experts (but not employee of G) where should I ask my questions? In a lot of ways it's more near a scammy company than a reliable one and that for one of the highest valued companies in the world. Sorry if someone thinks scammy is abusive but in the country where I live you should get in contact with a company as user or costumer of their products.

Why oh why aren't other big companies entering the advertising market for (small) publishers?

Runfun, you donít have email or chat access? I think anyone can email them but you need to earn a minimum of $500 per week, if I recall correctly, to chat with them.

Yes saw relatively low RPM -20% with poor coverage -10% here as well. So relatively a 30% revenue cut for past two days.

@Ember, I'm not earning $500 a week with Adsense because I'm using Ad Manager as adserver and Adsense is only a part of it I don't earn those numbers only with Adsense. I've direct advertisers, affiliates and Adsense but there's a lack of possibilities to contact them.

At this moment in Analytics -25% pageviews compared to yesterday, at Adsense -45%? Reporting stuck or another strange day with low earnings with Adsense?

Unfortunately, the G does not rely on publishers and professionals who make useful products, really help people and earn them money, but G rely on pseudo experts.
Everyone can become an G-forum "expert" by simply registering and posting once a day on their pseudo-support forums, like Adsense Help forum, Chrome help forum, etc.

If you are an G-forum "expert", once a year, G will invite you to a pseudo-conference and will pay for your trip, flights, airport transfer, hotel, breakfasts, dinners and even cocktails.
If you are a publisher who make useful web pages and/or products and earn money together with G by using Ad Sense, Ad Manager, etc., you're not going anywhere and you never get any real support, except from pseudo experts on their fake support PR-forums.
In ten years we have brought the company over half a million and we have never been invited anywhere, no one time within ten years period! We do not have any real support.

We known several G workers, talked about our problems and what they say (unofficially, in a friendly atmosphere)? G just don't care about us, they interested and fully support pseudo-experts, because they're spreading a positive atmosphere about the company, this is just like the the PR campaign.

Don't believe? Just look at: [events.withgoogle.com ]
You won't find these pages in G search - they hide them from most people/developers, publishers and it is clear why, there will be dissatisfaction of those with whom they have money but do not really support at all, no meetups, no support, nothing! They fully support PR-experts only.

Make your conclusions, but by the facts, the G is turned into a big dirty bubble, they just registering forum "experts" (anyone can be such expert) and indirectly pay them for PR-across the web.

Yeah, 16 years and now they flag pages for adult content. Never before in 16 years. But now they flag 40 of my best pages. Well, requested reviews, I'll see, but very disappointed in G's policies for a long, long time.

Really wish there were viable alternatives, but, none yet. Very disappointed in how the world has changed since Google appeared. They never cared for small publishers and never will.

3% September clawback, for me. Little better than last month. Does CPC always take a dip for you guys at the beginning of a month? Mine is always like half of what it is at the end. I guess that's when advertisers are making adjustments. New month, new budget, etc. Is that right?

Very bad start of the month, almost half the revenue of an average day in September. September was better than August but much worse than September last year.

1. Low clawback this year for me (hooray)
2. Slow September, and ever slower October.

All economical indicators are saying recession, but as usual, in my corner of the world is "partying like is 1999".

Unless I am reading that article wrong, it's talking about a publisher being banned from advertising on Google, not being banned from showing Google ads.
