Have you ever been hit by the 'visit site' two-click penalty?

I've a quick favour to ask for any publisher who's has the Adsense two-click "penalty". Do you have any screenshots of the ad units with the visit site message in place that you would be willing to share?

I'm working on a guide to this issue and wanted to include a few different examples at different sizes.

Can't help. Gave up on adsense a few years back.

HOWEVER, commonsense suggest that if this is occurring your margins/placement are too narrow. Blow some padding in the mix to avoid that.

I don't know, because I never clicked my own ads, or ads at others sites :)

common sense

At least half of problems (of all kind) can be solved by common sense.

By the way, you can try contacting guys who had this "issue".

To me it's not a "penalty", but that's another subject :)

Yes, that is one cause. There are others though, which is why I've been asked to write up a guide.

It's usually pretty obvious without having to click your own ads just by looking at CTR.

Absolutely correct that it is not a penalty. In fact, I originally nearly put 'penalty' in quotes in the subject. It tends to be how it is referred to though, so I was using the common terminology.
Thanks for the links. I'll PM a few if I get no response by posting.
