Hello Everyone!

I'm a bit unclear (OK, maybe a lot unclear) on the concept of selecting keywords for a web page. If I have a website that deals with fruit and vegetables, and I have some AdSense ads on it, which of these keywords is more important to have prominently placed on my site?

From AdWords Traffic Estimator:

  • Berries, 48 clicks/day, $0.19 CPC, $8.95 cost/day, avg position 1.1
  • Squash, 280 clicks/day, $0.08 CPC, $21.68 cost/day, avg position 1.0

Thank you.

I would say make the page about the topic you are interested in, and don't worry about trying to tweak the system to get the highest paying ad.

You can see what ads might appear on your page by using the Adsense preview tool. Of course you have to make the page first.

But the estimates you quoted mean nothing because there is no certainty that the people paying the most will even allow their ads on content pages.
