Compare this to NETFLIX which is also driving distance from my house, about 40 minutes. I mail a movie on Monday, get one back on Wednesday.
So there is no way Google sends them the same day they print them, or the day after, or the day after that!
Just out of curiosity, what's the point in discussing this?
My guess is that it's a general notification to let other publishers know that there *should* be a payment approved showing in their account.
If they see one of these threads and there *isn't* a payment approved, they can get in contact with Google and check to see if they missed an email or if there is something that needs to be done (in case there was a delay in communication somewhere).
I believe the same holds true for the "Payment Received" threads. I find them useful because it lets me know *roughly* when my payment should arrive.
It also lets others know (those getting their first check or those waiting for a check) if there could be a potential problem with the post that they need keep track of.
If there are 10 publishers in the UK reporting that they've received their check (or cheque), and you're also in the UK expecting a check, but you haven't received yours, it gives you the heads up to start counting the days until you need to contact Google for a reissue.
As pointed out in other threads, it can also be a way for new, lurking members to join in the discussion for the first time in a "less intimidating" thread.
Just my thoughts :)
