Showing ads to visitors from external vs internal pages only

Which scenario would be better for earnings / bounce rate?

Here is what I'd like to test, but it would take months or years for me to get results (since my adsense page views are low). I can make it to show Adsense to one of these group of visitors:

A - visitors coming to the site from external websites (like Google, and other external links)

(OR)

B - visitors who visited at least one internal page (ie. the ads would appear ONLY when the person visited two or more internal pages).

The biggest positive for the choice B would be that visitors will not see ads when they come from a search engine (which could improve bounce rate). But negative is that they may be less interested to click on ads.

What do you think would happen in these scenarios?

On one of my sites I only show ads from the second page view onwards.

On another site, on pages that have a high bounce rate I show just one prominent ad - if a user is likely to bounce they may bounce via clicking an ad.

On all my sites I turn off ads completely after a certain number of page views.

Thank you - so it suggests that it makes sense to limit ads in some way. When I personally search on Google and find Adsense or other heavy banner ads, I tend to consider the site of lower quality; I hope limiting Adsense (especially not showing ads right on the first page for a visitor) would improve things.

Yes, that is my gut feeling with my particular sites. I want users to return and to feel comfortable in doing so.

I also use the ad balancer to help reduce potential spammy ads.
