The summer months are challenging for revenue. A lot of eyeballs are at the beach. However, summer can also be a time of great optimism. Here's to summer!

Clawback for May was just under 6%, the largest I've ever had in 15+ years with Nonsense. This was a final punch in the face after a month with appalling CTR, CPC and RPM.

Off to a really strong start this month. CPC is 50% better than last months average. Really the last few days have been really good.

I implemented ads.txt a few weeks ago, which I wouldn't have even known about without this Forum. So thank you. If you add it, go into your ad network reports. You should see more impressions from a few of them. I doubt it's a coincidence.

1st June was the best day in past three months.

MayankParmar, did you get news from Adsense, about your uncrawled page issue ?

Page RPM has increased dramatically to over $5, while page views are decreasing. But my website is still hanging in there compared to previous years. Gross for May was over 4K. I'm still hoping to return to the good old days when the revenue was equivalent to a full-time gig.

Clawback for May was negligible.

I'm trying to drive more traffic to the desktop. Mobile visitors just aren't committed to sticking around.

@QuaterPan Yes.

They have fixed the issues, and ad serving resumed on all affected uncrawled URLs in 24 hours.

The max clawback I ever got is 2% and I have been using adsense for last 8 years.

Good for you. I have similar problem, but not earning enough at Adsense anymore to get a rep to write to.

For experimentation, I've disabled interested based ads globally (not only for EU visitors), on week ago. I didn't notice decrease of earnings, but, in the advanced report, I still see that personalized ads are generating the same number of impressions, and earnings. Why is that? Also, the option for interest based ads, mentions that it has no impact on retargetting, can it be the explanations?

@QuaterPan I don't have any account manager. Just use the contact us option from dashboard, you'll need to convince them with technical explanation.

I would not disable personalized ads globally, never really worked in my case.

It seems I’m seeing more display ads than usual when compared to the previous of display and texts ads and I haven’t changed anything. Has anyone else seen this or experiencing it?

Since the 1st of June, all my figures are very low.

As I said , since I disabled personalized ads globally, I still have the exact same number of impressions/clicks/earnings on personalized ads anyhow. Anyone with the same situation ? It looks like the option is not taken in account ?!

Google Hostgator, Bluehost and you'll see their ads on your site if AdSense feature is not working.

Here's a first for me, clawback was +4 cents!

G's killed all my global traffic, what was my smallest .uk site is now my largest, and I am talking a massive factor of 100/1.

For those critques of mine ... I told you so:-)

It seems you are right! Google seems to be completely ignoring this setting according to my Adsense reports as well.
So basically, Google are making me into a liar if I tell my users that cookies are not being used for personalised ads.

It doesn't explain why only about 1 in 20 ads has any relevance - personalised or otherwise.

1.3% adjustment in May.

Page RPM is strong this month. +14% from April, +7% from May.

I have seen better lift from link units than standard ads.

Ah! So I am not alone. This sucks. What's going on. Did they mess up the whole system, when they did their improvised hack to be GDPR more or less compliant? They certainly touched wrong things too.

Something else, it looks like the Ad balance no longer works for me too. No matter what value I set.

May turned out to be very good for me. Clawback was miniscule. June has started out well too. For gdpr I turned off personalized ads for the EU plus did the cookie notice yada yada. No impact on impressions, but my main audience is North America.

I turned off personalized ads for the EEA about a week ago, and average RPM has dropped a bit. That could be coincidence, though.

Overall, no cheers and no jeers--just business as usual, more or less.

May turned out to be very good and a very small clawback and June seemed to be going good until today. I woke up and noticed that when my ads are clicked there is a visit site button that pops up. This has happened before and went away but I’m not sure how long it takes. Has anyone dealt with this before? How long does it take before it goes away? Please let me know

Absolutely pathetic - maybe 1 in 20 ads is relevant since switching off personalised ads.
Mostly wrong continent, wrong currency - wrong language.

It's like someone accidentally switched a "=" with a "!=".

@Grapetimes This odd. I have never come across something like this... But it'll be fine soon. AdSense is experimenting a lot these days.

I’ve seen other people have an issue like this in the last due to high CTR but my CTR is only around 1.5 before it happened. Has anyone else here dealt with this can say how long it took for theirs to go back to normal?

Best day of the month yesterday. 35 clicks at 30p CPC. Only I was getting 70-80 clicks like I used to.

Best month of the year. RPM is running at a 3 year high. Mostly due to higher CPC.

RPM now running at 50 times less than before GDPR!
All ads are irrelevant and completely unrelated to my site!

I should add that there are virtually no clicks - not surprising given that the targeting is broken.
