I'm seeing a new feature in Ad-Review. Now when one blocks an ad one gets a button called "report ad" so that the ad can be reported for policy violations.

This looks pretty great!

I haven't had to report any ads, but that shouldn't take too long until I run into one.

Cool but I think it'll get abused. Publishers will just report those ads that they don't like.

Eventually it will become irrelevant like those big metal buttons at traffic lights that people keep pushing, thinking it speeds up the light.

Besides, what's usually abusive is the amount of ads & the placement on the page, or 3rd party ads that won't be included in the review center.

I'm not sure. You may be right.

I didn't click through, so I'm not sure if this will lead to same old reporting that used to exist. In which case the reporting requires a few inputs and often simply abandon the process before reaching the end. But if that form has been streamlined then yes it may well get abused. I'll let you know the next time I need to report an ad. Fortunately my inventory has been looking pretty good. I still get those some Download buttons that we all hate, but those don't really violate any policies.

I was in a beta test of this feature but it never showed up. Nice to see that it has arrived.
