Happy New Year !
I wish you have high CTR, CPC and RPM throughout the year!

Let's start the discussion about the January earnings :)

@Mayank this is not what Ezoic and AdPushup do. They do not randomly place ads. They use various features such user metrics, and page layout in order to find optimal size and location of the ad units. And then they use A/B testing and other feedback to find the optimal placement for the content. What Elman is proposing is to randomly change ad code on a page with no feedback or optimization. So no it is not the same. Also, I am certain that the ad code is placed on the page before it sent for auction, or that the changes in position are marginal, such that BTF ads do not end up as ATF.

The CTR and CPC dropped last few days. When I checked from 1st of January to today I am seeing a gradual increase in earnings, but last few days it has dropped a bit. I hope February is better for everyone.

And coverage tanked to 50%. Ridiculous!

Another 40% drop. Traffic is up by huge numbers, i'm blaming AMP for earnings. AdSense on AMP is ridiculous.

Yesterday I noticed an undelightning effect: While I earn around 100 to 150 USD daily, yesterday just 3.50 USD came together. Amount of visitors and impressions was normal. Also ads were outrolled as usual (100% as far as my 30 reloads are confident). But the measured ad impressions were around factor 30 lower than usual and not corresponding to the website impressions with 100% filling rate. Today that effect went on. I then changed out my standard 300x250 ad (which was responsible für 95% of the revenue) with a new created 300x250 ad with the same settings. Luckily that solved my problem! Has anyone an idea which technical issue was responsible for that? I made researches in about 10 international Adsense boards tonight but obviously it was only me who was affected. And it was only that single ad. My other 6 ads with few revenue run normal and were also counted correctly.

Best regards
Marc

Thanks for sharing, Marc.

I am also planning to replace all the ad units one by one, but the earnings might drop if I replace the ads?

Just run a test. You can go back to the old ads whenever you want without any disadvantage.

I saw a massive spike in suspicious and worthless placement ads over the last week. The level is now dropping back to normal. Anyone else notice the same?

I see ads on every page no matter what, as it was before.
Hopefully they fixed the issue.

Yup! here too. Coverage has been rising steadily since about 4pm EST.

I haven't had coverage issues but my epc has been dismal. Today it surged. No idea why. Maybe because the coverage issue is solved and there are more advertisers driving up prices? Hope it lasts (for all of us).
