I have some confusion, that we all know that Adsense is content related ad network, but for your kind information it is also a country wise ad network, which has high priority with country based ads.

I just need to know that if i want my users to let serve UK based ads while user accessing website from different region. How can we serve those european ads.

Any idea or suggestion will be appreciated.

So, you want to display certain information based on the country they are connecting from? Does the information change depending which country they are connecting from?

You don't have to do anything to target regionally. That's something that Google does automatically based on the client's IP address.

So, if a visitor is visiting your website from Germany, google will see the IP is located in Germany and try to display german ads if available.

They don't do it. Even if you have a page about a certain subject just in one state they will show ads for that subject all over the country. I have a state specific site that gets ads for other states. I mention a specific city and state all over the thing but they keep showing ads for other states. I helps nobody. Useless ads show up on my site. It is not a real big area so I was able to do a bunch of restrictions to get rid of some of the ads. I just try to keep on top of it. That seems to work.

An Adwords advertiser on Google can decide which countries and which languages to target with his advertisments. This target mechanism looks at the location of the website visitor, not the location of the hosting company. So European visitors will automatically see European ads on your site, even if it is located in Asia.

States within one country is a different matter. As far as I know Adwords advertisers cannot decide in which state their advertisments are displayed, but maybe I am wrong as I am not an Adwords advertiser myself.

Just came across the following thread in the AdWords forum. It IS possible for an Adwords advertizer to select specific regions within a country, at least within the US.

My question is does that come into paly for context advertising. Even if it does people don't do this.

there's a couple of problems with it in that geolocating can be very hit and miss down to local levels, and probably a lot of advertisers don't know that you can do this or don't know how or can't be bothered to target their ads at this 'micro' level.

I think the issue was slightly different anyway.

Smartseo - are you saying that you want to serve UK/Euro ads to your website visitors who are in Asia?

If so, that could be difficult, unless a UK/Euro adwords advertiser specifically wants their adverts to be seen in Asia then they won't select to serve ads there.

Why do you want to show ads for a different region from where your visitors are located?

Yes Jenkers, you are right i just want to serve world wide ads for my visitors, coz i dont want to serve limited adsense. Well i think many content specialists know how to serve geographical ads by fetching valuable OR rich keywords to their website. Me and you all people would be interested and some one can discuss his views and practicals.

what do u think?

I operate some travel sites (mainly hotel reservations) and the Google Adwords displayed on my pages are "usually" targetted for the Country/State/City I have content for. I even noticed that hotel pages in Italy show ADs in Italian!

Perhaps you need to add more REGIONAL/GEOGRAPHICAL content on your pages so the adwords spider can read it.

well i will take your suggestion and will create some topics about geographical based products, I have also told by someone that it all depend on ISPs IP from where they are connecting their polls.

What about this issue.?

Well I want to confirm that is geotargetting ads are set to samrt pricing model.

So which country or region can be set high cpc through smart pricing model.

Its a pity that google doesn't have geo targeted ads.
I have a general travel site that attracts surfers from around the world and would love to see the main page with adsense that targets the surfers locality rather than the content on the page.

Adsense shows the appropriate ads for the region the user is in, end of story.

There is no legitimate way to force Adsense to show Adwords advertisers in countries where they are not advertising.

If someone is running an Adwords campaign and only wants their ads to appear to advertisers located in the US, UK, and Canada, that is their right.

If some webmaster buggered the code somehow to force these ads to show in Asia - that would most certainly involve techniques that violated Google's T&C.

If you aren't satisfied with the amount Adsense earns for Asian visitors, I suggest you either show different ads for people visiting from that country, or block those IP ranges from accessing your site.
