Is my Adsense account approved?

I can't access the "My Ads" section in my Adsense account.

Hello,

I recently received an email from Adsense (7/28/2017), saying there's "One Last Step to Get Started". A screenshot of the email is attached.

I just applied recently (7/27/2017) and I was under the impression that I'm waiting for approval before I get to the second step.

Did Google Adsense send this email prematurely, or should I be able to access the "My Ads" section of my Adsense account at this point? Note: I don't have access to the "My Ads" section in my Adsense account right now.

Any insight would be most helpful.

Thanks!

Hello jelwood and welcome to WebmasterWorld [webmasterworld.com]

One Last Step to Get Started
So what is that "last step?" Did you return to the process and complete that "last step?"

Hello,

Thank you for your response :)

That's the concern I have. I can't complete the last step because I don't have access to the "My Ads" tab in my Adsense account yet.

Note: I completed Set One, and pasted the code between <head> and </head>.

Currently, the only message displayed in my Adsense account is "We're reviewing your site". However, I received an email from Adsense telling me I need to complete the last step to complete the approval process. This is where the problem resides; I can't complete that last step since I can't access the "My Ads" tab in the account to generate the ad unit embed codes.

Did Adsense send that email that instructs me to complete the process, prematurely?

Thanks!

It has been many years since I opened a new Adsense account so I don't know what steps are being asked nowadays, sorry, but I never put any code in the head section of any page.

However, they may be asking for some verification code to be placed there. If so, that's something I've never seen.

The actual Adsense code is placed in the page mark-up where you want the ad to appear.

I would go back to the account process and read through the steps again to make sure I was understanding everything correctly.

You are correct sir. The code that goes between <head> and </head> is a verification code. I'm currently under the impression that I'm waiting for this verification code to be verified by Adsense. After it gets approved, I'll then be able to access the "My Ads" section and copy the ad unit embed codes for my site.

At least, I believe this is where I'm at in the process. Adsense sent me an email telling me to finish the process and place the ad unit embed codes on my site, but I don't have access to that section in the Adsense account dashboard. Thus, I can't copy any ad units embed code.

I'm thinking Adsense sent that email (the one telling me to finish the process and place the ad unit embed codes on my site) prematurely. I think I should continue waiting.

If you or any else can confirm this, let me know.

Thanks for conversing with me! :)

Josh

I always just uploaded a file to my root directory for verification... same type thing.

Yes, that sounds right. Adsense has become widely used and may take much more time for approval than it once did.

I think I should continue waiting
Yup
