Adsense on a site with a sticky side bar

I am some how forced to use a template with a sticky sidebar. I know that it is against the adsense policy to place the adcode inside a sticky sidebar but can I place it in the rest of the text area that scrolls? Just not in the sidebar but in rest of the webpage?

As long as the ads are not sticky you should be fine.
