Hi, there is a new website/service by Google that tests for "mobile friendliness" of your website and the url is as follows:

[search.google.com ]

I ran this test for my website and found it's reporting the following url is blocked! The url they said is blocked is:

pagead2.googlesyndication.com/pagead/js/adsbygoogle.js

How do I fix this issue?! Can anyone run the test for your site and see what it reports? Thanks a lot!

Relax, Google blocks itself :)

In other words... Google does not allow indexing of it's own scripts, so when it finds that script on your page, it reports it as blocked.

This is normal (for Google.)

It's also reporting another advertising url (tribalfusion) is blocked.

Are you roboting-out the directory these scripts reside in?

These are ad codes embedded in the webpage templates of the site. The url that's being reported as blocked is:

tags.expo9.exponential.com/tags/websitename/ROS/tags.js

Well, maybe exponential.com is blocking it.

As a general view... if Google reports a third party file (remotely served) is being blocked, it cannot be fixed by you & shouldn't affect your account/website.

You can get the same information in GSC if you use "Fetch as Google" with settings to render for mobile. In GSC you can see the blocked resources are their own scripts, blocked by their own robots.txt file. I'd imagine that the same holds true for other ad scripts. It also tells you there that the importance factor is "Low" so it is not something that should be a concern. There isn't much you can do to unblock third party resources. It concerns me more that they keep telling me I've disallowed my captcha directories.
