I've applied for an adsense account and received a message that my request was rejected because it could not read my site. I noted a typo in the site URL (my error) and corrected it, but every time I try to enter the correction in the adsense page, I get this message:

"Cannot connect to the server. Please check your Internet connection and try again."

I cannot get to anywhere else on my adsense page. I have not gotten any responses to posts on the Google Adsense Help forum, and I don't know how to get in touch with a Google Adsense customer service rep (I think they don't exist).

I'm not having server problems with any other sites.

Well you didn't get blacklisted for content, so I'd probably try all over again from the beginning and make sure you type in the URL correctly.

Adsense won't let me get to any other AdSense pages to try again. Every time I try to get in it takes me directly to this page, and I can't go forward or backward to any other AdSense links.

Caminante Welcome to WebmasterWorld [webmasterworld.com]

Are you sure this is not a caching issue? Have tried clearing cache and restarting your browser or even using a different browser?

Are you using an ad blocker? Have you tried from a different computer?

I have tried it on a laptop, a tablet, my Android cell phone, and an iMac. I also tried it with Chrome, Foxfire, and Microsoft Edge. I am not using an ad blocker.

I also cleared the cache in Chrome, restarted it, and tried it again. I got the same result.

"Cannot connect to the server. Please check your Internet connection and try again."
If different browser's are all returning this message then...

1.) There may be an error in the document path (URL) you are using. Examine the URL as it may not be correct.
2.) Your network is having difficulty connecting to the web site. Wait a few hours until the network issue is resolved

I have tried different iterations of the URL (e.g., http://example.com/, example.com/, example.com) . No luck.

Likewise, I have waited several hours between attempts, several days between attempts, etc. I've been at it for about 3 weeks now. If it is, indeed, a server problem, it's taking a long time to fix. I've also tried from three different locations, thinking it might be the local server or wifi, and no luck.

[edit reason] please use example.com [/edit]

Well it's not likely to be on AdSense's side, so I guess try to figure it out with your ISP. (I assume you are in a country that AdSense supports, right?)

USA, yes. I've also tried it on 3 different ISPs: one at home, one at work, and a public provider in my city.

I'm wondering if there's an alternative to AdSense that I could use on my site. If it's this hard just to start using it, should probably go with another advertiser.

Any suggestions as to an alternative?

There's a discussion about AdSense alternatives here: [webmasterworld.com...] that might help.
