March 2016 was the first sign that the things could get better, let's see April 2016.
1st of April is not very promising, with -30% revenue vs last week.

Since G is the only ad network I use that normally reports in real time, hard to think there'd be a story here.

Strange day indeed, it's like the reverse problem of the extra ghost pageviews, it makes my CTR and RPM looks terrific. That beings said, earnings are surprisingly good today (aka normal day last year), after a few depressing weeks.

PVs seem to be trickling back now. I've had 18,000 show up in the panel in the last hour.

Perhaps this is all a cunning ruse by G to give us a day of high RPMs. Kind of like a methadone program for starving webmasters.

Red Bar showed for the whole day and is still showing for the following day..just started...that's a record for me!

Had the same issue with lower page views and higher rpm. ...Then things were looking great as the page views increased without a drop in rpm.....until about the last 2 hours of the days and it ended the same as the past few months...

So no matter what happens my daily earnings still seem to be stuck within set parameters and have not exceeded those levels since the beginning of this year.

Yeah! Go Google!

Needless to say my lowest day of the month and one of the lowest of the year.

Yesterday's PVs look correct however my RPM is 28% of April's average, easily my lowest since Easter.

Red bar still showing for me, they've decided I have enough for this month!

The redbar is showing for yesterday (i.e. look at stats for yesterday only the redbar appears)

Seeing the red bar for today, and yesterday:
We're sorry, some data in this report is delayed, please try again later. There's no impact to ad serving or payments.

For us the page views don't seem way off, but the earnings are definitely down - of course could be a coincidence.

On another note -
Maybe its been there for quite some time but about a week back I noticed the below at the top of the stats area. I have been known to be less than uber observant (just ask my wife) so perhaps its been there a long time?

Anyone know when this first appeared, and what exactly it means?
One goal of Matched content is to increase user engagement. Your page RPM and other metrics might be affected by this increase.

A strange phenomenon on my largest site that does usually 7-10K pageviews per day:

On March 3, the cost-per-click dove by almost one half. Miraculously, on that same day, the number of clicks almost doubled. Overall, Page RPM dipped slightly, in line with the bad trend we've all seen.

This change continued until this Tuesday April 26th, when suddenly the cost-per-click tripled at the same time the number of clicks went down by one third, leaving the Page RPM again essentially the same.

Wondering if anyone has seen this same thing. Also wondering how to trust the numbers I'm seeing when the reporting shows such a bizarre anomaly.

Over the years I've seen that many-a-time and they wonder why people question if there actually is a ceiling to earnings when such things happen.

Don't count your chickens yet. I think almost every day someone has thought all is back to normal for the next days to be completely not :)

300,000 unique hits today. $150. Adsense is worthless.

Stats are back, but RPM is still low. Irrelevant Ads + mostly image. And god responsive ads are terrible. It often shows these tiny banners that look awful.

I can't believe how the top internet Advertising company is so terrible to deal with and with the same type of Ads there's no normal alternative.

"Hits" is the most worthless web stat, once you understand what a hit is you'll see it is meaningless. How many unique visitors and pageviews?

300,000 unique visitors, I didn't mean to say hits. Roughly 420k pageviews.

You should be making more money than that for 300K uniques IMHO. But you really shouldn't be counting your money on the day it's earned, stats fluctuate all the time on the same day. Look at yesterdays' earnings today. Look at today's earnings tomorrow, etc.

I had a notice in my control panel today that they were having stats problems again today so maybe that's what it was.

Something is seriously amiss if you've only made $150 from 420k pageviews. If I had that many views I'd be posting this from the Bahamas, even with the abysmal RPMs of late.

Speaking of which, CTR and RPM both looking a little healthier the last couple of days (after the red bar dust had settled). April has been reasonable month earnings wise, though most of that has come from traffic surges.

My AdSense page views have not been all counted for today and yesterday and it has also been messing with my earnings. Does anyone else have this problem or know what is going on?

I have other ads on the page. The figures compared to Adsense are astronomical. They are in line with that kind of traffic. My stats have been consistently high for some time. Yesterday we had roughly the same. All good quality engaged traffic from the US and some UK. This is with the new page-level ads turned on. Really disappointed in Adsense. I've been hanging on for months hoping it was just a blip.

paranoid android: which ad networks are you on? I'd love to switch, but as far as I've heard, nothing comes close to adsense.

I am using RevContent at the moment alongside some other private ads, including a clickbank product.

Probably should rename Adsense to Adcents

From their website: "We are rigorous in our discipline on Site Quality and will continue to deny over 98% of sites that apply as the most selective and premium native network in the world."

Well there goes that plan.

I concur. I can attest that your earning is normal nowadays. Total robbery!

I'm sure you pay so much hosting/ bandwidth bills that you're just about even. We're in the same boat!

Well, luckily I decided to utilise other ads across our pages a year and a half ago to supplement the adsense income. Now, the adsense income supplements those ads!
