I guess this can be a touchy subject based on the TOS. But since I've only been involved with adsense a few weeks, I have no basis yet. what would be considered the high and low figures for click through rate and CPM? I mean I do not know if what I am seeing is good or bad.

1) Google's program policies forbid sharing statistics, and most Webmaster World members are anonymous, so any numbers posted is this forum should be taken with a grain of salt.

2) (And this is more important) it's impossible to make an accurate statement about what's "good" or "bad" because different topics, types of content, and audiences will yield entirely different results.

What you should be asking yourself isn't "How are my AdSense numbers compared to other people's," but: "How does the AdSense CPM compare to my earnings per 1,000 impressions for other sources of revenue?"

I agree with europeforvisitors. For me the Adsense gives better results then affiliate programs, but that might differ between websites genres.

When analyzing my channels I see huge differences between individual pages also. Some pages are visited mainly by visitors looking for information, they only seldom click an add. Other pages attract ecommerce willing visitors and have a high CTR. So even within one site it is difficult to say how statistics will be.

Just try it, it won't cost you anything except some effort to add a few lines of code to your pages.
