Link ads

How long until well targeted?

Suppose I put up some link ads.

Pretty soon, the ad link words match the page content.

So far so good.

But the actual ads don't seem to be related right away.

How long does it take those ads to be related to the page or site content these days?

From my experience it should take no longer than a few hours. As far as I know, link ads look at certain keywords on your page, so they would be ideal on blog post pages, for example. Placing them on a homepage or category page makes less sense.
