Hi all,

I'm hoping someone can help. My site is static pages, and there have been no changes since 2014. I don't use any other advertising other then AdSense, and all my traffic is organic, google, returning visitors.

I've attached a screenshot to show the problem.

[i66.tinypic.com...]

Basically - for 2 years, my Analytics pageviews, and my AdSense impressions have been the same - now suddenly, since the start of August, my impressions have doubled, my pageviews have stayed the same - so now my earnings are lower.

I've not changed my site, and I don't know how to track down the problem to resolve it.

Thanks for any help,

Well, you are the third person in three days to post this question in the past three days, me included. I have absolutely no clue what might cause this, so let's try to narrow it down:
1. when did the problem start for you?
2. do you use adsese as a fallback from other networks? if yes, which ones?
3. do you use DFP?

In my case:
1. Friday last week
2. Yes, using adsense as a fallback from Komoona
3. No

Same happened to me on August.... With no change on my end, the impressions doubled and pageviews stayed the same. I didn't even notice it up until few days ago (I don't normally look at ad impressions statistics) when my pageviews suddenly jumped.... But if nothing changed except the statistics, why would that impact your actual revenues?

My traffic has been stable all year.

For me it started the first week of July, within a couple of weeks my earnings halved and have remained that way until now. In fact my earnings for November 2015 are 49.26% of November 2014.

You have doubled traffic but have the same earnings, that's precisely the same as me having static traffic and halving earnings.

Don't ask me what they did but whatever it is I ain't impressed.

But that's the thing, I didn't really doubled traffic. When ad impressions suddenly doubles in August - the pageviews remained the same, and I also monitor the site through statcounter and analytics and pageviews didn't change. Revenues didn't change either.

Are you looking at the reports correctly?

Do you have two ads per page? If so then the new reports show them as two impressions.

For instance I have several sites with only one ad, invariably the PVs and Impressions match for those sites, sometimes the impressions are one or two less however usually the same.

I also have a couple of sites that have three ads per page and checking one specific site I see a ratio of 1 PV to 2.838 Impressions during the whole of November.

Impressions and PVs are not the same if you are running two or more ads per page.

Sure, I understand all that. I didn't mean that I have ratio 1:1 of pageviews to ad impressions. But in August suddenly the ad impressions doubled without a reason (or impact).
But more importantly few days ago the pageviews stat jumped (but not in reality) and the pageviews stayed the same.... It might be because of passbacks I set to adsense through another ad agency, but now it's fixed (As I mentioned in another thread the only thing I changed after that issue began is to change the second ad agency to sync from async... but it might not have anything to do with it).

Munix, then I misunderstood you. In my case the actual amount of page views went up, impressions stayed the same week on week
