RPMs and Analytics PVs up, AdSense PVs way down

After months and even years of predictable behavior, one of my sites has been hit with a major change.

September page views from Google Analytics showed a nice 20% jump. AdSense RPMs went up as well. But AdSense page views declined by nearly 9%. Total revenue was nearly flat year over year despite the increase in page views and RPMs.

The coverage reports show 100% on the display ads and normal numbers for text ads. I haven't made any changes to ads on the site that would cause the decline.

My next thought was ad blockers, but that's an awfully big drop because of ad blockers unless they are suddenly flooding the market. Anyone have any ideas or seen something similar?

Mobile? What about your Active View Viewable numbers?

The percentages for both mobile and active view numbers were nearly the same as previous months. I should add that my AdSense page views are usually higher than the Analytics page views, if that helps. Thanks for answering, Netmeg.
