I like the medium as it is a bit smaller for people with small monitors but would go with the larger if it made a big difference. My problem is that my site is not high enough traffic to give this a good trial.
It appears to me that the only difference between the two is that the large rectangle has more white space. Is there an atvantage to this?
If so, I use that and the 300x250 rectangle. Which one depends on the page it's on.
If I have the space, but both perform very well. I can use the medium size above the fold, but the large one falls below the fold on a monitor set at 800x600 (at 1024 the large size is mostly above the fold on most of my pages.
The large rectangle looks fine even on my 15" laptop moniter. In fact I like the clean look of more white space. But I know a lot of my visitors have older moniters and some put that gawdawful 'favorites' strip on the left.
I always test my pages with that to be sure they are OK with it.
I'm floating them to the right of the second paragraph. How are other people setting rectangles?
