It's been a long time since I bother or take time to dig and test Adsense, it just became so weird, nonsense and low earning despite the pure organic traffic that keeps growing. But lately made some tests.
Change unit, new one, placement. Result? earnings increased only to fall back to the same after 24-48 hrs max. The algos do their "work" I guess.
But there is one thing that keeps me blinking wondering... Playing with the networks. Turn on and off, on sets or massive on and offs. Then you see it (at least I did) in less than 4 hours the earnings went up, it works, but the thing is: they grow constantly and stable until reaching the "ceiling". My observations in my case show ending the day with X earnings, playing with most changes (and I mean like all), shows results but it slows down until reaching X earnings no matter the hour, it's like my network has a quota and no matter the hour it's about a limit per day, once is reached no matter the hour the earnings won't move. At times it shows what I would call "algo work", going steady until reaching nearly the X earnings, then slowing down amazingly and staying near X only to end the day at X again.
I don't see the click counts.
BTW, lately the country list has been interesting, one country each different day, diff continents, will keep an eye on that.
So back to where I was, no matter what: X is my daily earnings, change units, names, block networks, etc doesn't matter, X is the limit and if that limit is reached at 11am, it will stay there adding just a few 0.01 until the end of the day, again X.
