I'll start it however I doubt I'll be contributing very much!

August RPM is down 25% for me compared to August of 2014. June was up 28% compared to June 2014 so they basically just cancelled each other out with July being down slightly. I'm hoping the later start to labor Day weekend starts September off on a positive note.

Does anyone know how to make a character hangman's noose?
So far today zero, 0, nothing, not one click from anywhere however I don't have any great expectations anyway.

My August 2015 vs 2014 metrics are strange.
Traffic up 18% Clicks down 9% CTR down 21% EPC up 50% RPM down 5% Total earnings up 38%
September and October are traditionally strong months so they will be the litmus test.

@Red bar how many visitors have you had today? If you haven't had any clicks whatsoever then isn't it about time you started moving the units around and trying different places?
August will be my best month this year. Sundays are always quite good, 80 clicks yesterday, I don't think they will be quite as much.

Surprisingly with it being a holiday here today traffic has been absolutely normal however clicks are almost non-existent ... I'll give the remaining ad spaces until this weekend and if nothing picks up then they'll be removed as well.
It's not ad positioning that's the problem.

August audience is up 41%, revenue up 21% and RPMs way down. Similar to the rest of the year.
But it's easy to see that mobile RPMs are a big part of the problem, at least for me. Desktop traffic growth is moderate and mobile growth is aggressive.

August is the second worst month so far in 2015 for me. Disgusting Google.

Absolutely diabolical month for me, the programme seems to have been an epic fail and is definitely at removal level, I'll give it a few more days to see IF there is any recovery, which I doubt, and then mostly remove.
Monday saw new record lows for click volume even though PVs held up.
In comparison to my 2015 monthly average earnings were 66%, that's one heck of a drop and, interestingly, were 67% of August 2014 and 51.4% of August 2103, going further back makes for even more horrific reading.
Me, AdSense, fubard!

I think I would probably agree that Google are not playing anywhere near the amount they were 18 months ago. If I look back to the month of January 2014 I can see that was a pretty good month for me, £679. However, when I look at the statistics I can see that page views were about 2000 more than than they are now. Strangely impressions are little more up now than they were back in that particular month. However, if I look at the page RPM I can see the lowest in the whole month of January 2014 was £2.12, the highest was £3.82. The best page RPM in August was around £2.50, which corresponded to a pretty good day. Impression RPM was twice as much then as it is now. So I can see why my earnings were much higher back then.
Clicks were a lot higher as well, I was getting up to 131 clicks back then, I'm actually recovering now, I'm getting up to 80 clicks a day which is better than it has been for quite a long time. But until the page RPM and the impression RPM rise considerably the earnings are never going to recover to what they were. And I think that is down to Google.
My earnings for August were the highest this year. So at the moment I can't really complain, at least I am seeing an improvement in my Google AdSense earnings. However, I think the fact that I have gone slightly more aggressive with my AdSense layout is definitely one reason why things are improving.
When I actually look at which ads perform the best, surprisingly it's those little 200 x 90 link boxes that are completely outperforming all other ads. I like many other people get more than 50% of my visitors using my site from a mobile device. There's not much you can do about that. There's little 200 x 90 link units placed above the left-hand menu, at the top when people open the page, straightaway they are looking at relevant keywords, that is why I think they do so well.

LOL at my earnings. I'm looking at my Google bank deposits. Again, LOL. Sad state of affairs indeed. Do I really feel angry about it? Not at this point. Perhaps it's dieing faster than I would have thought, but whatever. I have other revenue streams thankfully. This is no joke. It would take about 4 or 5 months of Adsense payouts to equal this month for me in affiliate earnings. Before? It would have be a complete reversal. If people are hitting home runs with Adsense these days, I'm sure it was from prior excellence. I would love to hear about a new site, new publisher who is making enough money to buy a McDonalds coffee daily. I'm sure in the near future places like Sedo will be downsizing. I'm sure a big chunk of their business is based on people who relied on Adsense to make running a website worthwhile.

I dunno how WebmasterWorld will treat this, but I'll try. Don't hang yourself though; we love you even if Google doesn't.
That didn't work; it got all squished in. Better in a text file. Oh well.

I checked our average RPMs for the last two years just now, and they haven't changed much. There's always some up-and-down movement from month to month, but on the whole, there haven't been any dramatic changes. (One reason may be that we don't run AdSense ads on mobile.)

Bank Holiday stats were good and then yesterday there was a complete meltdown. Not a good start to the month.
