Right now several of my pages appear on the first search page in Google, Yahoo and MSN when searching for a very generic product name, will adding the AdSense Java script wreck my placement? I am a new Webbie and have almost NO java on my site because I understand some robots choke on the script and back out failing to index all my keywords. I use MS FrontPage for design, would it be better to use the shared border for the ads as the html for the border is on a seperate HTM and shouldn't disturb the bots. I know Dreamweaver is the cats whiskers of generators, but I am a fulltime caregiver for my 88 yr old Dad and can't afford it. I will stand back and take my whooping like a man! Thanks for any advice!

Jon_King,

Thanks for the reply, I got pretty lucky. I have spent a very long time trying to figure out what I did right! I have a pretty good line on it, I just didn't want to mess it up. Thanks!

If anything, pages I have added AdSense code to rank better now in searches than they did before (probably because I did some optimizing.)

My personal experience was that adding the code didn't affect my serps at all. My site existed before adsense, and had a Google ranking of no 4 on the main keyword.

A year later and I'm still there.

"I use MS FrontPage for design," If you want to rank even higher in the search engines - delete all the blank space and junk code it adds to the HTML and code your HTML by hand. ;) Dreamweaver is just as bad for bloated code. Search engines like HTML to be short, concise and to the point. ;)
