Hi everyone. I have been lurking on the forum for a bit now, trying to learn as much as I can. I just have a couple questions that I am hoping you guys could provide a little insight for.
1. What is a CTR that is considered to be normal? I notice that on mobile, which is a majority of my traffic, I have CTR between 3% and 4.5% but PC my CTR is maybe half of that. I of course enjoy the higher CTR but I also want to make sure that I don't run into any issues and I would gladly make changes in an attempt to lower it if needed.
2. How can I be sure that I am abiding by all of the terms of AdSense regarding my content? One site in particular is similar to buzzfeed, with a lot of quick easy to read articles that do well on social media. What I would like to know is when I have a gallery/article that includes pictures of people in bathing suits, bikinis, or just general sexy attire is that safe? I don't include things like topless photos, sheer/see-through or lingerie so I hope that I am within the general guidelines.

No..

Manual inspection by G "compliance" can be done from anywhere..there have been many postings here in the past by people who have had warnings or "insta-bans" ( with no possibility to appeal ) over "bikini" and "beach scenes"..don't run adsense on those pages..some people play real safe and don't run adsense on any pages of a domain which has those type of images ,even on other pages..

Imagine Google's inspectors are like a particularly "uptight" Victorian sunday school teacher..and you won't go wrong.. ;)

I wouldnt risk my adsense account on any user generated content unless it is reviewed. Two years ago i got a warning after an user added a link to a bikini website.

I'd love a CTR of 4.5%, but to be honest if i saw that in my stats my first thought would be that it was click-bombing. I'm lucky to get above 1.5% these days

Thank you guys. I will go through the images and remove any that even have the slightest chance of causing an issue. If I go through and remove it all, could google come back in the future and punish me for the pictures even after they are gone?

My CTR is higher than yours and has been for years. I've been told that it's fine. Google thinking a higher CTR is okay depends on whether or not your traffic is legitimate and converting for the advertiser.
